I managed to get somewhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of my stuff moved this last weekend, probably would have done more if it hadn't been so oppressively hot. T was a big help - she's so good at keeping me motivated. I haven't seen enough of the Oshkosh people lately, I will have to remedy that sometime soon. I'm still loving the new place. The building is a bit confusing to find my way around right now but I suspect that will clear up quickly. I still love the view and everything about the apartment. I'll have to learn to cook with an electric stove instead of a gas one again but I guess that's a minor complaint. So far I break it down like this: Pros: - Amazing view - Much better location - More space to have people over - Vastly better kitchen (including dishwasher!) - Newer building in better condition - Attached health club! - Central air - Underground secure parking Cons: - Farther from work (but it's a more leisurely walk with better scenery) - Electric stove instead of gas - No more swimming pool (which only really matters 2-3 months a year) - I'll miss my luxuriously huge parking spot (they are much tighter at the new place) For the first time, I feel like I'm going to be living in a building that is designed for a young professional like me. My old place was nice but still felt very college student-ish. Mood: happy Music: WOLFSHEIM - It's Hurting For The First Time
